We are also licensed Home Inspectors. Your peace of mind is important to us. Let us take the worry away from your property purchase with our comprehensive Home Inspection. You will understand all aspects of the property - structural mechanical, electrical, plumbing, roof, etc. so you can complete your home purchase with confidence.
We complete Commercial Property Inspections that include in depth reports that meet ASTM standards to include building, site, visual inspections. A complete Property Condition Assessment may also be completed that goes in depth to include paving, drainage, structural components, roofing, mechanical, fire protections, vertical transportation clearances, ADA guidelines for property accessibility but also parking signage requirements.
We are both a licensed Home Inspector and General Contractor. This puts us in a unique position to help real estate agents, brokers, sellers, and investors in both the residential and commercial market places to complete sales transactions based on conditions noted by other third party inspectors or buyers. We can visit the properties and complete an in-depth estimate for repair or formulate reports based on the needs of the clients. Don't let a last hour finding unravel all the hard work you have completed by not knowing the true condition of an outlined issue. Call us - we can help.
All Radon Inspections are completed with a Continuous Radon Monitor.
Radon is a cancer-causing radioactive gas. You cannot see, smell or taste radon, but it may be a problem in your home. The Surgeon General has warned that radon is the second leading cause of lung cancer in the United States today. If you smoke and your home has high radon levels, you’re at high risk for developing lung cancer. Some scientific studies of radon exposure indicate that children may be more sensitive to radon. This may be due to their higher respiration rate and their rapidly dividing cells, which may be more vulnerable to radiation damage.

We can help.
We are happy to consult anyone with a desire to improve their property. So please give us a call should you have any questions. If we are not able to help we can try to refer you to the many contractors and sub contractors that we have met through the years to see if they can help. We have been specializing in older inside the beltline properties for 15 years. I know the property well as I live in a 1923 Dutch Gambrel (when I purchased it) and renovated it to look like a two story salt box traditional home in Raleigh's Five Points. See the original 1923 home to the right.
We know what true dimensional heart pine lumber is. We understand the construction practices of the earlier days. We know Portland cement vs. mortar, vs concrete. We understand the Federal Pacific fuse box electrical wiring, the plumbing drum traps, and the asbestos materials. We know how plaster walls are different from drywall.
Let us evaluate your property and bring it back to its previous glory.

What a difference right? The original home had only the front entrance. We added a left side porch and entrance. We also added a circular driveway that compliments this entrance. We removed the shed roof of the right side sunroom, lifted the roof to 15 height and made it a flat membrane roof on top and standing seam copper panels shedding to the sides. We added a brick front porch and new 8' tall French doors to enter this space. Along the front we demo'd existing porch and created another flat portico with matching traditional columns inspired by the Carolina Hotel in Pinehurst. To blend in all the new additions I added the solid blocking faux walls of all three elevations. We removed the mid span shed roof as you see the tarps here and applied old school hardie boards spaced 4" to give a lifting affect. We applied exposed copper flashing above the first level windows that appear like eye lashes. Lastly we added the three dormers of the roof to give frontal appearance, installed 100 year slate roofing, and copper half pipe gutters with round downspouts.
